A little bit about Ericka

Hi, it’s me.
Ericka.

I grew up in a tiny town out in the Midwest.
A tiny town surrounded by cornfields and beanfields.
When I say tiny, try a population of 660 people.
And according to the interwebs, that is the current population in the now of 2023.

I started my career first as a photographer my Sophomore year of high school.
The local photographers were charging my pals over $1k for a handful of Senior pictures.
Maybe now that might not seem as outrageous as it did back in 2014, but back then, we were broke high school kids.
From there, it just spiraled. A friend and I shot my own Senior pictures a few years later and as they say, the rest is history!

I’m currently on the East Coast living out my dreams personally and professionally as a photographer.
If you told me 5 years ago that I would be here now, I would’ve laughed and told you that you were crazy.
Hey, but here I am! Life’s funny like that, and I’m sure glad it is!

I belong to a 19 year old Tortoiseshell named Mama Kitty.
She runs the house and the show. We just work really hard to give her a good life.

Referring back to the “we.”
My all time BFOHCLW (Best Friend - Other Half - Couldn’t Live Without) is Adam.
He’s my master chef, full time carpenter, Pinterest idea “maker happener,” pro snuggler, Target run any timer, human who’s ready to jam out in the car with me, co-pilot road tripper, man that I’m going to marry, or otherwise known as in simpler terms, my boyfriend.
